Change for Gally teams

The athletic conference that includes many Gallaudet University teams is changing names.

The North East Athletic Conference is becoming the United East Conference. Still part of the NCAA Division III, The UEC includes:

Gallaudet University

Lancaster Bible College

Pennsylvania College of Technology

Penn State Abington

Penn State Berks

Penn State Harrisburg

St. Mary’s College of Maryland

SUNY Morrisville

Wells College

Rutgers University-Camden is an associate member for men’s golf. Gallaudet’s football team plays in the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference.

United East commissioner Stephanie Dutton said in a news release:

“Our new identity is a true reflection of our membership and our core values. As a conference that serves as the home for a diverse group of institutions, we have a mark that clearly conveys our desire to continually rise upward together as a united group.”
