Deaf West Takes a Stand on inclusion

Deaf West Theatre has withdrawn its membership in the LA Stage Alliance over issues related to inclusion.

The Alliance held its Ovation Awards Wednesday night. Deaf West says the awards show not only failed to properly identify an Asian nominee, it refused a Deaf West request for captions or an ASL interpreter for the ceremony.
