Not everyone is happy with the Barbie Helen Keller doll released by Mattel.
The doll has symmetrical eyes which do not accurately represent Keller’s appearance.
Keller became blind and deaf as a infant after an illness. One of Keller’s eyes protruded but the doll does not reflect that look.
Haben Girma, the first deaf-blind person to graduate from Harvard Law School, is a human rights lawyer and she tweeted this:
